Blogging! Something that is new to me and a tool i think i might come to enjoy very much. I would like us to use this forum to get to know each other and build connections and links to make our homeland a better place. I would like to take this oppotunity to invite Ugandans and friends of Uganda to come together for a cause i believe is a good cause; the development of Uganda as a country. The start is small and slow but sure, we can start by discussing what is possible and move to discussing what we can do. I am going to be up dating this site often with ideas for discussion and i would like to encourage you all to participate. I intend to develop a monthly news letter which will be published on this site and i would like to invite contributions to this news letter. This is still a work in progress and i look forward to your input and most importantly advice.
Looking forward to hearing from you

It's good to use all possible ways to develop uganda as a country but many challenges abound.
I am not being a pessimist. We should actually begin by developing the people in Uganda before we think of developing the country.
the so-called leaders have metamorphosed into DEALERS overtime and they are in-charge of the retrogressive dev't we presently witness. It takes a lot of effort to buttress the dealers - their interest is utilizing every available opportunity to deprive the poor the little remaining.
With conviction, courage and commitment they could be uprooted. What is currently lacking is to make the downtrodden citizens angry by explaining in no uncertain terms the damage being meted on them by the dealers.
TK, thanks for your contribution. I am all for empowering the people to rise and protect what is rightfully theirs. I am however a little cautious about making them angry because in a case like that there may be repuccussions we may not anticipate that may be drastic and lead to casualties. When i worked with the Inspectorate one thing i realised in interacting with the people was that some people believe its not their responsibility but that of the government to fight corruption. Besides this there were people who were reporting cases to the office almost weekly. I think its important to build a sense of ownership and responsibility among the people and believe me they will be so vigilant we wont believe it.
